Friends…There are countless words written about Jesus.  The time has arrived to lay aside the “wisdom” of every other  person and return only to the actual words of Jesus, spoken in the absolute fullness of his truth.

Give Our Lord Jesus the next 40 consecutive days.  Read only his words in the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

 

Do not read the writings of any other person for these 40 days:  not Paul, or Martin Luther, or Saint Augustine, or John Wesley, or John Calvin, or anyone else.

 

Our Lord Jesus is perfectly able to speak for himself, and The Holy Spirit is always prepared to guide us when we seek the absolute truth provided by Jesus.

 

40 days to give Our Lord Jesus an opportunity to speak to us, without interference from other human “interpreters.”
